You are not alone.

People here want to extend their hand to you in friendship, but they don't know who you are. That's why the LIFE group exists. LIFE stands for Lahti International Fellowship.

LIFE supports English and Russian languages. Many other languages are spoken by members and friends.

If you know someone here who is isolated by language, please contact us.

We want to meet and support foreigners who find themselves isolated in this strange land.

If a person does not speak Finnish, living here is extremely difficult. Adjusting to life is especially challenging. Knowing someone who speaks your language can sometimes be a big help.

Living here presents all sorts of practical challenges. We try to help you sort through them, give you resources, walk alongside you through the most difficult times.

LIFE is sponsored by the Lahti Pentecostal Church. Its leaders follow Christian principles. Members are free to believe as they choose.

Because our members come from many countries, we understand many mother tongues. This allows us to serve people who don't know any of the international languages.

Because a large percentage of our church members spent many years in the mission field, we can usually find someone who understands languages as diverse as French, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Spanish, French, Swahili, Urdu, Dinka ... even Mongolian!
